Skirmishes, Muskets and Pikes at Thirlestane Castle
Visitors to Thirlestane Castle over the weekend got the chance to experience history as the castle held its first Re-enactment Weekend.
The Sealed Knot, the UK's oldest re-enactment group authentically recreated the 1600s with a living history camp, military displays and even a skirmish.
Children and adults alike got the chance to try on some armour, watch camp meals being cooked and even handle a pike.
Both days were finished off with a dramatic mock battle in fron of the castle lawn complete with pike conflict, musket battles and even cannons firing.
