New Afternoon Tea Experiences in partnership with Firebrick Brasserie
We are excited to announce that in addition to offering Guided Tours on set days; Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, Thirlestane will be offering new Afternoon Tea experiences in partnership with family-run Lauder restaurant Firebrick.
The new Afternoon Tea and Sparkling Afternoon Tea experience will be served in the Castle’s atmospheric Victorian Kitchen with its original 19th-century range oven and views of the Rose Garden. The menu - shaped by Firebrick’s chef/owner duo David Haetzman and Amanda Jordan consists of a selection of finger sandwiches made using homemade bread and locally sourced ingredients for the fillings, and a selection of mouthwatering sweet treats including a Scottish Berry Fruit Tart, a fondant fancy, chocolate éclair and a scone - all made on site at their local premises.
Both parties are excited to be working together to offer this sumptuous culinary experience in an impressive historic setting and believe that this type of treat is just what people need after being cooped up during Lockdown.
Guided Tours re-start again from Tuesday 18 May and Afternoon Tours are available from Tuesday 25 May.
All tours and Afternoon Tea experiences must be pre-booked via the our website or by calling the Castle’s office on 01578 722 430.
