Thirlestane Castle is surrounded by extensive parklands and is within a large estate yet still close to good transport links from Edinburgh.
Within the immediate vicinity of the castle there is the cobbled courtyard with its arched balcony.
Towering over the Rose Garden is the oldest part of the castle.
The front lawn and castle plaza provide a large space for all sorts of shoots.
Further afield there is woodland, riverside areas, parkland, heather moorland and even a Victorian stable block.
More images of the areas described above can be seen in the gallery on the left along with pictures of other areas.
