Season coming to a close
These beautiful Autumn Crocus are now flowering at Thirlestane Castle which means autumn has arrived. The trees are yet to turn but it does mean we are nearing the end of our 2018 season before the castle closes for the winter.
It has been wonderful welcoming so many new and old visitors from all other the world this summer but there is still time to come if you've not been yet. Our last day of the season this year is Sunday 30th September and we will be open every Sunday to Thursday between now and then. Come and see the beautiful 17th century plasterwork ceilings and examine one of the largest collections of family portraits in the country. Our Tea Room and Gift Shop are also open Sundays to Thursdays. Stop for a coffee or book in to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea and browse our lovely range of souvenirs and gifts. Make the most of the dry days in our grounds and wonder along our woodland paths or enjoy our riverside walk.
We welcome groups all year round so if you are starting to make plans for your group's next outing then please get in touch, it's not too late.
